Good Memory!!

We are attending AWANA's again this year and the kids are all excited about memorizing their verses each week. It's so cute to see them "discuss" who can tell me their verse 1st.

The Biggest Loser

Last night I let Sofie and John watch some of "The Biggest Loser" on TV with me. The contestants had a challenge where, if they won, they got the reward of calling home to their families. The challenge? Win the 100 yard dash against a kindergartener, a 2nd grader, or a 4th grader. Of course Sofie took right up on the fact that a kindergartener was beating adults. (In the show only one guy, out of 16 contestants, won against the kids) So Sofie begged me to race her today 'cause she wanted me to see how fast she was, praise the Lord, I am faster than my Kindergartener, but she can move. Anyway, the video is of her and John racing after Sofie was done with me (because I go too fast...:) )

Sofia and John

They asked me to take their picture, so I did.

First day of Homeschool Co-op

On Wednesday Sofie and I attended our first home school co-op's Wednesday morning classes. She is in their Camp Kindergarten. Sofie got to meet other kindergartens and her teacher, Mrs. Culbertson. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday's this school year our homeschooling co-op is holding classes for children to attend as a supplement to what is being learned at home. Very fun. They also hold a women's Bible study that I will be attending. Much fun!

Sofie's new obsession

Grandma Wolfe gave Sofie a hula hoop and it's fast becoming an obsession for Sofie. She LOVES to hula hoop and is always asking for me to get the camera to record her. So cute!

Kindergarten

Well, we are officially embarking on our homeschooling path. I'm so excited to be doing this with Sofie. I'm almost in tears when we go through our lessons for the day and every task is centered around our Lord. The curriculum does a very superficial walk through history as the center of the lessons. It's history according to the Bible and it's just perfect.

So here is our big Kindergarten girl!

She is such a sweet big sister.
