It's happened before, it will probably happen again. I take blog breaks. I call it blog block. You know, like writers block? It's not that I don't have anything going on. It maybe that I have too much going on and I just don't have time to write it all down. :) Anyway, I come out of my blog hiatus with some milestones that are coming up.
Caleb is almost 1 year old!!! As I was nursing him this morning I was thinking that our snuggle nursing times are coming to a close. Those times are so infinitely precious to me. How he still, after all these months of repeatedly not letting him, still tries to stick his finger up my nose. Or the foot that he always puts in my hand for me to tickle. I'll miss his nursing dance that you'll have to ask Mike to demonstrate. And I'll definitely miss how nursing can turn any amount of sadness into glee.
Anyway, as the kids were looking back through some pictures from this past year I was struck by this picture.

This was me, exactly one year ago. 36 weeks pregnant and ready to POP already. I didn't know it right then, but in the next couple days I would be put on complete bed rest. Let me tell ya, complete bed rest with your 4th child? Not good... At this point I was feeling pretty good and nesting had taken on epic dimensions. (Note to the CLEAN room in the background)
Seeing the above picture inspired me to take a picture now.

So many things I see to be thankful for in this picture. 1. I'm NOT pregnant 2. My son has become so Lego crazed that staying on top of his creations has become an exercise in futility (note the NOT clean room in the background). 3. Caleb is healthy and wonderful. Such a fabulous addition to our family and completely worth the trouble it took to get him here. 4. God did make our bodies like Gumby (somewhat).
Anyway, I'm sure there will be more posts like this to come as this 1st year draws to a close. My baby is growing up!
