Visit to Iowa

This weekend we were finally able to make it down to Iowa to meet my newest nephew, Eli! He's been here for three weeks and we've all been impatiently waiting to meet the newest edition to our family. He does have the singular distinction of being the 1st and only "Byrd" boy of this next generation. Though I have full confidence there will be more, from someone...

Sofie was attached to Eli like glue!! Whatever adult was holding the baby, she was right there also.
We were having a photo op on Friday night and gingerly put Eli in John's lap. He took the baby and even smiled for the pictures. But after a few moments he leaned over to Andrea, Eli's Momma, and whispered, "Would you take this?..."
Can a picture be any sweeter?
