Why, oh why, do the clouds play games? On a recent Monday morning the sun was shining, the weather was moderate, it seemed that it would be one of the last temperate days of the year to enjoy some outside activities. So we decided to cut our school day short and go visit a local apple orchard with a fellow homeschooling family. Literally, as we drove to the orchard, the clouds started to get thicker and the wind picked up. Even though it seemed to be threatening to rain, we made the best of our trip and had a lot of fun!
Thankfully, the rain held off, and we played at their playground
and picked apples. When we got back to our cars I thought for sure the skies would let loose. But no, the clouds parted and the sun ushered us home. Oh well. Truly, cloudy skies make for better picture-taking anyway. :)
