Well crazy days are often a recipe for no blogging! This whole week we've had lots to do and I've barely been able to turn around.
This week we had our 1st homeschool co-op kids classes. They were a lot of fun. Sofie was able to see some friends that she hadn't seen during the summer. This is also her 1st year to take actual classes instead of being in one room the whole time. She has Spanish, Science, and Gym this year. Not surprisingly, her favorite class was gym.
In her Spanish class the teacher gave her the name "Marta" for her Spanish name. Sofie liked the name so well that she wouldn't let me turn her name tag around so that it showed Sofie again... So I think that her Science and Gym teachers think that her name is Marta...
John has a class too! He is in his own gym time. He was so excited that they were able to act like airplanes. One of the funnier things to watch is a bunch of pre-school age kids play "Duck-Duck-Goose." They don't quite understand how to sit in a circle yet. And they don't quite get the rules. So they may run around the "circle" a couple times, or not at all. But they are all having such a good time that nobody cares.
Lilia was too cute the entire morning. She kept wondering where her brother and sister were going. When either of them would get back from their classes she would run screaming to them like they had been lost for a year.

We've also had AWANA's this week, plus Bible Studies, Field trips, and school, of course! All which makes for a pretty hectic week.

Yesterday my most favorite Mother-In-Law in the world came and took John and Lilia for the morning so that Sofie and I were able to catch up on some school work. Schooling one child with no toddlers around?! I can't tell you how easy that was! Sofie kept commenting, "Mom, it's so quite around here!"

A cute story to end the post: This morning Sofie woke at 7:00 am (her usual) and asked if she could go downstairs to watch TV.
Now she and Mike have this ritual worked out of her asking, and him saying "No." and then they proceed to compromise back and forth which always ends up with Sofie being able to turn on her light and play with her toys in her room (effectively waking up Lilia).
So this morning Sofie came in and asked if she could watch TV, to which Mike said, "Yes".
Sofie left, but then came right back, "Daddy, I can watch some TV?" to which Mike groggily replied, "Yep, go ahead" so she leaves but then came back just a few seconds later, "So it's O.k. that I can watch some TV?!" Now Mike's a little more awake and replies, "Yes, you CAN watch TV!"
It was so funny! I, of course, feigned sleep the whole time. But Sofie couldn't quite believe her luck and wanted to make ABSOLUTELY sure so that she didn't get in trouble later. What a girl.
